After several months of hard work we can now give you a preview of the new look Selectspecs.com with a complete redesign of our corporate branding and e-commerce website. Please read on to discover what changes are in store…
Our New Branding
After 4 years since the launch of Selectspecs.com we felt it was time for a major overhaul of our brand and website to breathe new life into Selectspecs.com to ensure we would appeal to a wider audience while encouraging the business to grow further and to improve our position as a trusted online retailer in the worldwide Glasses market.
This new look will gradually be rolled out across all our stationary and marketing material over the coming months.
The new Selectspecs.com website
As this is just a sneak peek we won’t go into too much detail about the new website (you will have to wait to see it for yourselves!!) but can reveal some details about what we have in store that will enhance the overall Selectspecs.com shopping experience.
The new Selectspecs.com website will ultimately make it easier to find the products you are looking for by improving the navigation throughout the website and providing a much needed search system.
We felt that the search results could often be too cluttered especially with all the options displayed, so this area has been massively improved by reducing the amount of information and imagery displayed on the screen and just displaying the vital information about the product. We have also introduced links on the designer name so the entire range from a particular designer can be viewed.
Of course, these are not the only improvements we are making, we are also improving the following areas:
» Product Discovery… Categorising our constantly expanding range of budget and designer products into different glass types (ie, Prescription Glasses & Sunglasses), designers and features which will make it easier to find the products you are interested in.
» Global Accessibility… Improving the Country / Language preference settings making Selectspecs.com more accessible to everyone from anywhere around the world.
» Improved Shopping Experience… Improving the design and flow of the Shopping Cart and purchasing process.
» Easy Prescription Entry… Enhancing the Lens Options & Prescription Entry area to make it a simpler process.
Keep your eyes peeled for the new website to be launched in the very near future. In the meantime, if you are looking to purchase prescription glasses or sunglasses today you can still get access to our full range of products and fantastic prices at our existing site, which will be working as normal right up until the launch of the new look SelectSpecs.com.

Summer is in full swing in the Northern Hemisphere (if the calendar is to be believed), and the public tennis courts are crowded with budding Tim Henman’s (or should that be Andy Murray’s?) across the UK after the annual Strawberries & Cream fest that is Wimbledon. And what a year it was, some even going as far as to say it was the greatest final ever! Personally I haven’t lived that long to make such a claim myself but we can all agree that on the whole it was brilliant.
And for us folks in the UK, we did in fact have something to cheer about this year as young British rising star Laura Robson went through to actually win the Girls Title on Court 1, turning her into a national hero, literally overnight.

This is because we have a brand new Selectspecs shopping website in development similar to the style of this blog that will massively improve the way you find what you are looking for in our wide selection of products.
